ARTIST Statement:

My works are mixed media typewritten art that reflects the conceptualism of writings. The process of my artworks is mixed media with typewriter art as the main medium by use alphabets into words, words into forms of writing, poetry, lettering arranges by using those elements to telling the story to others. Upon memories and the experiences of my surroundings in everyday life and I also focus on the stories that effect in society.

Another medium that combined my typewriter art into is intaglio printmaking. I created my printmaking works as a bridge between image and word by using the Chine-Colle technique. I typed on my typewriter with thin Japanese paper and combine with the Chine-Colle printmaking process in the press. I press on colored Japanese paper to various of shapes means various of story, symbolic, sign and things that tight together in the core of stories.

Live Typewriter Portrait:

I create a portrait from the typewriter LIVE. Through years of practice and several workshops of live typewriter portraits, I have done. I had an opportunity to see how this unique alphabet lends itself to the shapes and lines of a face. My most popular question is “How long does it take per one live portrait?”. It will take 15-30 minutes depends on the details.
